1) Use line references in the questions to be sure you have gone back to the correct place in the passage.

2) First read the passage; then read the questions.

3) Try to answer ALL of the questions on a particular passage.

4) When you are rushed, read the opening sentence and the final sentence of each paragraph for the main idea.

5) When dealing with new double passages, tackle them one at a time.

6) Read ALL of the choices so that you select the best one given.

7) Some good or true answers are not correct (the best choice). Make certain you select the answer which is "what the question is asking for".
