Mission Statement
The mission of Sierra Vista High
School is to prepare students to reach their maximum potential as independent
and productive members of their community, by modeling and providing a
student-centered, safe, healthy, and stimulating environment; innovative,
research-based, instructional practices; a meaningful and relevant curriculum;
learning opportunities that foster and promote acceptance of diversity, a
healthy self esteem, self discipline, self-determination; high expectations, and
respectful communication and social behaviors. This mission is a reflection of
our commitment to life-long learning practices and collaborative professionalism
that benefit and support our students, our school, our community, and ourselves
as thoughtful and reflective educators.
