We have two computer labs at Olive with the SuccessMaker program. The SuccessMaker Software program by Pearson Digital Learning is a wonderful way to support the learning that takes place in the classroom.
All students at Olive in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade come to the Computer Levels every day for ½ hour to work on Math and Language Arts Skills. The program allows for the individual needs of each student as everyone works at their own course level and pace.
Example of language arts and math lessons include improving skills on reading comprehension, vocabulary review, the metric system, place value and decimals. Again, there are lessons from Kindergarten up to 7.5 grade in reading and lessons going up to grade 8.9 in Math. This will keep accelerated learners challenged and able to work on skills beyond their grade level as needed.
A big favorite in my grades is the challenging Math Speed Games which helps keep the students mentally stimulated and excited about math!! |
