We encourage and invite all parents to be active in their child's education. It is important for all of our students' safety that all visitors check in at the front office and get a visitor tag to wear while on campus.
- Instill in your student a desire to learn.
- Guide your student to develop acceptable behavior which includes self control and accountability for their actions.
- Communicate with the school in a regular and positive manner.
- Be sure your student is attending school in good health, properly nourished, and well groomed.
- Know, understand, and support the rules and policies your student is expected to follow.
- Questions and concerns should be directed to the classroom teacher.
- Respect students, parents, and staff. Use of profanity, obscene gestures, or threatening the safety of students or staff members will not be tolerated and is in violation of the Parent Civility Act, VUSD Board Policy #1006.
- Be sure your student is in school regularly and on time. At 7:50 a.m. students are to be in their classrooms in their seats. After 7:50 a.m. students must check in at the front office to get a late slip before they can go to class.
- Students are not to arrive at school before 7:30 a.m. (7:20 a.m. if eating breakfast).
- Grades 1-5 are dismissed at 1:53 p.m. - Please pick students up promptly at the safety enclosure areas.
- AT NO TIME are cars allowed to be parked anywhere except in the designated parking spaces in the parking lot. DO NOT PARK in bus lanes, red zones, student pick up/drop off lanes, or crosswalks.
- DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR UNATTENDED unless you are parked in a designated parking space.
