Thank you for visiting the new Vista Unified School District web site. Our first web site was established in 1995 and over the years we have added and updated content, but the web site design and function remained static. As web technology advanced over the years the demand for these new web site technologies increased. Today, most web sites support these new features and we are pleased to implement this new dynamic web site as an Internet portal for interested parties to obtain more information about VUSD.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new layout and function. To the right of the VUSD logo is the search function. This allows you to search every document and web page stored on this web site instantaneously. Below the VUSD logo is the global navigation bar. It is organized for navigation directly to the most common areas of interest. Below the global navigation bar and on the left side of the web page is the quick launch menu. The contents of this menu will change with the selection of each new item from the global navigation bar. Between the global navigation bar and the quick launch menu is something referred to as breadcrumb navigation. Breadcrumb navigation displays your current location within the web site.
The remaining web parts on the home page are organized with links to specific sections of information and interest. These items are regularly updated, for example news stories, public announcements, etc., and provide each visitor with the latest information available on the web site.
If you have any questions about VUSD select the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) link at the bottom of the page. If you would like to view more detail of all the items within the web site, select the Sitemap link at the bottom of the page.
Thank you for visiting the new VUSD web site and we hope that you return often to obtain important information about the district and its schools as it becomes available for distribution
