Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act, Title IV
On October 20, 1994, President Clinton signed into law Title IV of the Improving America's Schools Act (ISIA), the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (SDFSCA). The SDFSCA is designed to support the seventh national Education Goal that all schools have a safe, disciplined, and drug-free environment that is conducive to learning. The purpose of this federal fund entitlement is to support alcohol, drug, tobacco and violence prevention programs in schools.
