Juvenile Court and Community School – Summit School

The main purpose of the Juvenile Court and Community School – Summit School (JCCS) program is to help offer a wide variety of educational programs to ensure that all students in the county have an opportunity to succeed and excel, both academically and personally.

The JCCS program is run by the San Diego County Office of Education, which places eligible students in one of several Summit Court School locations throughout San Diego. A few locations in the Vista area are:

Arcadia 1 and 2
1717 E Vista Way, Suite 111
Vista, CA 92084

Vista East
1717 E Vista Way, Suite 113
Vista, CA 92084

Rancho Del Oro
4095 Oceanside Blvd., Suite F
Oceanside, CA 92056

Students are placed in the Summit program in one of the following ways:

  • Through the expulsion process
  • Through School Attendance Review Board (SARB), if parent agrees to the placement.

Most students return to their traditional schools following expulsion. Some students, however, complete their graduation through Summit.
