Vista Unified School District serves approximately 23,000 students in 14 elementary schools, four middle schools, two high schools, one K-5 magnet school, one K-8 magnet school, one 6-8 magnet middle school, one 9-11 magnet high school, one 6-12 charter school, two continuation high schools, one K-8 home school, one independent study high school, one special education elementary school, one special education high school, and one adult school.  All of these schools are supported by the Curriculum & Instruction Department.
